The map below covers the route the sub-expedition Salvany took from Piura until the death of Salvany in Cochabamba, except for the route of Grajales, Bolaños and Lozano after leaving Lima.
How to use the map:
- To navigate across the map, you can drag it while clicking on it; zoom using the scroll wheel of a mouse on computers, pinch out with two fingers on touchscreens, or use the + and – buttons in the upper-left corner of the map.
- In the top right-hand corner, there is a drop-down legend showing which colour represents each subgroup of the expedition.
- To advance in the map, use the Previous and Next buttons located at the bottom of the map.
- In principle, one stop represents the movement from city 1 to city 2. However, as the journey became more complex and its accounts scarce, one stop will have intermediate stops in between.
- All stops can be clicked on to reveal a pop-up with the name of the town and the dates of arrival and departure from them, when recorded.
